Program Overview
Module 1:
This module is for clinicians, that are willing to dive into implant dentistry or those, that already had their first contact with dental implants. All the basic information will be covered, the synergies between the different dental fields will be established. Live surgeries will support the theoretical part. At the end of this module, you will be able to identify the right case for dental implants, to plan the case from the beginning to the final delivery, make the fitting choices in terms of implant and/or restoration materials, to assess your personal capabilities, if needed to cooperate with field experts. You will reach the level of confidence, so no case can turn into a disaster in your hands.
Basics of implant dentistry:
- Jaw anatomy, its relevance for the dental implantology
- Patient selection: General (systemic), surgery and restoration specific prerequisites for dental implants
- Implant selection: Mechanical and biologic aspects
- Performance prerequisites: Hardware, personell
- Planing related decisions
- Synergy of periodontal and restorative issues

Module 2:
This module is for clinicians, that already had their first surgical cases. Also surgical experts will be able to refine their achieved skills. Hot questions as when to place an implant, how to graft will be
thoroughly covered. Live surgeries will round up the clinical handling of biologic tissues as well as biomaterials.
At the end of this module, you will be able to assess the risk of every case, meet the fitting biomaterial choices for every surgical site, confidently manage potential surgical complications.
Refinement of the surgical procedures:
- Defect classification / risk assessment
- Basics of bone augmentation procedures
- Material specific issues (autogenous, allografts, xenografts, membranes)
- Basics of soft tissue augmentation procedures
- Material specific issues (autogenous, xenografts / re-entry)
- Patient specific planing
- Complications management
Module 3:
With this module you already reached the level of having your implant into the planned position and ready to start building on it, to achieve not only patients’ expectations but also to establish your perfect substrate for your long-term stability. Either an immediate or delayed restoration, they both need special handling, which will be covered. You will have the opportunity to see adaptations to clinical realities throughout live consultations.
At the end of this module, you will be ready to:
- Perfect plan,
- perform scans or conventional impressions and to know what is possible today and how,
- plan or even fabricate your personal custom abutments and understand the importance of the emergence profile, use provisional abutments / restorations when and if needed,
- make the right material choice in terms of ceramics,
- adequately load your implants,
- restore teeth and implants in combination and
- Trouble manage for example debondings, screw loosening or fractures.
Module 4:
Having reached this level of expertise, you will eventually find out, that sometimes nature follows its own rules. Thus, not every case that walks in is a perfect one. This module is focused on you keeping your patients and yourself happy throughout time. Implant maintenance, in order to keep your longterm-stability at a high percentage, adequate solutions of surgical and prosthetic complications, that endanger it, will be thoroughly covered.
At the end of this module, you will be able to successfully recognise potential complications, establish your own problem-solving-cascade, assess your personal capabilities, if needed to cooperate with field experts.
